One of the Slovenian psychiatric hospitals successfully overcame the challenges of uneven workload distribution and staff overload in nursing care through the digitalization of time and attendance records, absence management, and scheduling supported by an AI-based application. By integrating two systems, they achieved 71% fewer unevenly distributed working hours, 56% less overtime, and 23% fewer sick leaves. Despite having 11% fewer employees, they also improved vacation utilization by 20%. The result is a more balanced workload, higher productivity, and increased employee satisfaction.
