Otto Austria Group GmbH decided to fully modernize its access control and time and attendance system when moving to new premises.
»The decision to comprehensively renovate the access control and time and attendance system for the entire Otto Austria operation across Graz and Salzburg was not easy, but it was necessary. We had an outdated access control system that no longer met our operational and security requirements – technically, financially, or in terms of compliance (Grade 2 and Grade 3). Remaining tied to Legic technology would have meant limitations and an inability to upgrade in line with future needs. When relocating to new office premises, we therefore opted for a complete system replacement.
We selected ČETRTA POT as our provider, as their presence in many facilities across Slovenia and references from international companies represented a kind of guarantee for us. Today, we can say with confidence that the decision was the right one. The modularity of the system suits us well; in the past, we were used to a ‘hub and spoke’ model, where the time recording terminal controlled passages, which brought certain limitations. The greatest added value, however, is the exceptional dedication of the team and their solution-oriented mindset. In a project involving 9 companies, 3 languages, 3 locations, and 2 time zones, they needed only 2 months from order to go-live.
The API connectivity is also excellent, enabling simple integration with existing systems. Despite the additional complexity of our environment, the team delivered everything without complications. To date, they have implemented every single one of our ideas – from screensavers to additional API fields.
